Assessment
Assessment takes place as an ongoing process throughout the unit in the form of practical activities and written tasks, an end of unit performance, evaluation and reflection will also be assessed.
You will be assessed as you:
- participate in practical and written activities which will develop your physical and vocal skills to communicate the status of characters
- research, rehearse and perform an extract of text selected by you,
- write a critical analysis of a character from your chosen text
- record this process in your process journal (PJ) using specialist terminology,
- reflect upon and evaluate your work throughout the creative process in your PJ.
Your Process Journal should include the following:
- a record of the development of your practical exploration of character relationships, with specific focus on status
- annotated research notes about your chosen place such as social, historical, cultural background, past productions, etc
- annotated digital photographs of work in progress
- annotated extracts of text you have worked on
- problems encountered and solutions considered and/or adopted with reasons for decisions
- experiments and things that went wrong, changes made, etc.
- your personal reflections and evaluation of the work your work and the work of others
- evidence of feedback received and given, and your response to this
- final performance of an extract from your chosen script
