Assessment
Assessment takes place as an ongoing process throughout the unit in the form of practical activities and written tasks, an end of unit performance, evaluation and reflection will also be assessed.
You will be assessed as you:
Practical Assessment
In your groups you must create a short example of Epic Theatre, utilizing narration, gestus and placards/projection effectively to teach your audience about the a social issue selected by your group.
Placards and/or Projections can be used in the following way:
· To give the audience information or warning
· To ask the audience questions and make them think
· To aid an unemotional response
· To lessen dramatic tension
· To inform and comment upon the action
Narration can be used in the following way:
· To inform or teach the audience
· To comment on the action to come
· To explain what has just happened
· To break up the action into smaller episodes
· To tells the audience about the events or characters
· To fill in missing action etc.
Your performance should be between 3-5 minutes long.
